Camera owners
opencctv.org shows cameras that their operators publish. We do not own or run any of them. If you run a camera and want it off opencctv.org, want OpenCCTV Pro to stop recording it, or want its details corrected, tell us here. You do not need a lawyer or a legal notice.
If your email address is at your organisation's own domain (the one on your website or your camera feed), we act straight away and email you to confirm. Otherwise we check that the request comes from the camera's owner and act within one business day.
What happens next
- A removal takes the camera off the map, search and its page, and stops OpenCCTV Pro recording it. Subscribers lose access and their recordings of it are deleted.
- "All cameras from my organisation" covers every camera we hold from you, including ones inside a larger collection and ones served from your own web address, and any we add later.
- We keep a record of each request and what we did.
- If we find a camera blocked to us, or its operator's robots.txt asks us to stay away, we take it down without being asked.
Formal copyright notices
Rights holders who prefer the formal route can send a notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) to our designated agent. The address and what a notice should include are under Copyright and takedown requests in our terms.
